Dear Soccer Player,

The game of soccer is truly an international one. In the summer of 2010, YOU can have the opportunity to experience “the beautiful game” with an 11-day tour of France and Spain OR Italy that will not only focus on soccer, but also in the culture of Europe. I am looking for AT LEAST 14 high school players to form a Mid-Missouri team to play in the Copa Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain), as well as a friendly in southern France. My wife will be along to help chaperone, but parents/family are also welcome to travel with us at the discounted group prices provided in the packet. In addition, we have several fund-raisers in mind that will significantly cut the cost of the trip.

As a long-time mid-Missouri high school and club coach with over 15 years of coaching experience and experience in taking two teams abroad, I have had the opportunity to see the development of players and programs throughout the state and would like to provide central Missouri players the same opportunities that players in the metro areas have. I firmly believe that an experience like this is one that will not only benefit the player, but will also be one of the most memorable experiences in your life.

Enclosed you will find your European Tour Itinerary as well as the booking form and booking conditions. Great care has been taken to design a tour that meets your goals and fits your budget and we are pleased to add these special benefits for you.

 If we book your 2009 tour before July 1, 2009 we will provide each player on your team with a Nike soccer training jersey.  NIKE US Soccer T-Shirts for every person who travel on your tour.

When you decide to travel, complete the enclosed booking form and return it with a deposit of $ 200 per person.

New for 2010: We now accept credit card payments from your participants. We can arrange a monthly payment plan so people can spread out the payments. We have included a credit card authorization form.

Accommodation South of France Nice

Apartments/ Half board - daily breakfast and evening dinner. Apartments situated at 3 miles from the center of the city Cannes, at 3 miles from the motorway and 20 miles from Nice. All units are equipped for 4 and 6 people; a living room with 2 pull out sofa's each for one person and a television, separate sleeping corners with bunk beds for 2-4 people or queen beds, a separate kitchen and a private bathroom. The apartment complex has a outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and conference room.

Accommodation option: Same accommodation but 2 people per room. Supplement per person per night $ 10.00.

July 1 Tour Nice: The "Promenade des Anglais" extending for miles along the waterfront is wonderful for strollers. Old Nice is a tight labyrinth of winding streets, alleys, and steep ascents between medieval buildings. Evening game vs. a local team.

July 2 Visit Cannes. Cannes is well known because of its "Promenade de la Croisette" and the famous "Cannes Film Festival", or, Day trip to Monaco. The Principality, about half the size of New York's Central Park, is divided into distinct sections: Old Monaco (a tiny antiquated village that sits on The Rock); La Condamine (home of many amiable Monegasques); Fontvielle, (a residential district on the reclaimed land); and Monte Carlo (named for Charles III in 1866). See the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace.

July 3 Transfer to Copa Catalunya.

Accommodation Copa Catalunya

Hotel/Full board - daily breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tourist class hotel of 3 star rating (Spanish classification) in seaside resorts such as Lloret de Mar, Blanes and Tossa de Mar. The accommodation is situated near the town center and/or beach. Distance to Barcelona is approx 30-35 miles. All rooms (3 and 4 bedded rooms) have a shower and toilet as well as air- conditioning. Some rooms have queen beds for 2 people. The hotel has a restaurant, bar, lounge, reception and an outdoor swimming pool.

Accommodation options:  Same hotel but doubles only. Supplement per person and night $ 11.00.  Please notice that we will inform you approx. 2-3 weeks prior to departure about the exact hotel name. On request and against a surcharge of $ 6.00 per person per night, we have some “named’ hotels available; Hotel Acapulco and Hotel Astoria Park in Lloret de Mar as well as hotel Reymar Plaza and Hotel Cartago Nova in Malgrat de Mar.

All hotel names are based on our 2009 agreements. Some names might change for 2010. Detailed information available upon request.

July 4 Day at leisure. Optional day excursion of Barcelona. View the Pueblo Espanol, the Castillo de Montjuich, the Gothic quarter, the Nou Camp Stadium, the Columbus Statue, and the Olympic facilities. Additional costs for a private bus are approx. $ 800.00. Evening reception for team managers and coaches. Nou Camp stadium

July 5 Day tournament - preliminaries. Evening optional visit Flamengo show.

July 6 Day tournament - preliminaries. Evening optional visit Attraction Park Marineland.

July 7 Day tournament - preliminaries. Evening optional visit Calella.

July 8 Day tournament - preliminaries and intermediaries. Evening optional visit a dinner show in a medieval castle.

July 9 Day tournament - rest intermediaries, classification matches and finals. After the finals team leaders match and prize giving ceremony.

July 10 Transfer to Barcelona airport. Return flight.

The Tour Prices quoted above include:

. Accommodations and meals as specified in the itinerary. . All mentioned transfers by bus. During the Copa Catalunya the tournament organizer arranges special shuttle transportation or free public transportation. On free days we can arrange a private chartered bus for excursions (for an additional charge). . During your stay in France a private bus will be available exclusively for your group. You will have 300 free kilometers for excursions and transfers. . Tournament participation and all team fees. Please review the tournament information sheets for detailed information. . Costs for arranging the sport program. . Local representatives/assistants at each destination will provide you with any assistance when necessary, and help plan or amend your daily schedule as needed. . Round trip air fare as well as airport taxes as noted.

Not included:

. Beverages (soda) with meals. . Gratuities for representatives and bus drivers. . Admission fees to attractions.

Options

. An accident, illness and trip cancellation insurance. Information will be mailed to you after booking. . Single rooms in hotels are an additional US$ 40.00 (CAN$ 50.00) per night – this in addition to the double room prices. Please notice that in cases when we offered double rooms (2 people per room) and your group has an odd number of people (7, 9, etc.) booked then we have to incorporate 1 triple room (rest doubles) or 1 single room (rest doubles). It is up to the group to decide if triple rooms or single rooms will be incorporated in such a case, and if single rooms are used then the group is responsible for the extra cost of US$ 40.00 (CAN $ 50.00) per person per night. . On free days during our summer tournaments we can arrange (for an additional charge) a private chartered bus for excursions.
