Janice Morgan has decided not to seek re-appointment / have her appointment extended in our circuit and we ask your prayers for Janice and Bill as they consider their ministry beyond August 2014. Please also remember in your prayers those in- volved with the stationing process as they consider the future pastoral oversight of our circuit after September 2014.  The emerging East Solent and Downs Circuit. Please remember: the preparation for the Pilgrimage, at Drayton today (Sunday 4th); the Pilgrimage, which will take place during the week August 18th to 25th; the inaugural Circuit Service on 1st September (details on back page) Geoff Eardley can provide more details about any of these, if needed.  The Armchair Exercises are taking a break during August. The next meeting will be on Monday 2nd September, and not as shown in the August News Sheet.  The collection taken at the leaving service for Palo Tshume realised £364.00 which is to be sent to UNICEF to support their work in Ghana.  Last week we recognised the work of Action for Children and distributed envelopes for those who wished to make a donation. If you missed the opportunity and would like to make a contribution please use one of the envelopes that are on the table in the atrium and place it in the collection plate or give to a steward.  The Havant Food Bank is operated by the Portsdown Community Church in the Meridian Centre. They are currently distributing 20+ food parcels each week to those in great need and are always looking for local churches to help provide the necessary tins and packets. Starting today there will be a box at the back of the worship area into which donations of food can be placed. The box will be emptied regularly and the food donated taken to the Meridian Centre. On the box there is a leaflet detailing the types of food needed. Please do take one of these leaflets and consider adding something to your shopping basket that you could donate to the Food Bank. Many thanks.
