Form 1029 (Revised 3/9/15) Forms and Samples Open Day Procedures Manual COURSE :  Properly identify and clearly mark all out of bounds, hazards and ground under repair.  Are there any unusual circumstances? yes If yes, explain: #3, left side of green, free drop. #15 Right side of fairway, take drop right of cart path  Are directional signs needed? yes If yes, where? Women’s Club will assist

TEEING GROUND:  Markers should be placed to reflect yardage point from which the course was rated.  Are tees numbered? yes  Color of markers to be played are: Red

GREENS:  Place hole locations six centered, six back, and six forward.  Hole placement is identified by colored flag: Red, forward, White, middle, Yellow, back BUNKERS:  Rakes are to be placed in bunkers.

SIZE OF FIELD AND FORMAT:  Number of players: Maximum 50 Minimum 24  Realistic time to complete the round for outside players: 4 ½ hours  Type of start: shotgun  Start time: 8:30 am  Indicate starting hole 1 and moving back to 18  Tees to double up on: N/A. Avoid using holes 12,11, 9, 8, 6, 5. PRO SHOP:  Hours open: 7 am- 6pm  The Pro Shop will assist with contestants’ bags on arrival: Men’s Club will assist  The Pro Shop has a portable PA/microphone system: no  WGANC will provide cart signs with players’ names and tee assignments.  WGANC will provide alpha and pairing lists with tee assignments. Lists are needed 2 days (on June 2 nd )) prior to the Open Day. Can the lists be faxed or emailed? yes Email address: Fax if no email. Director will hand carry to Pro Shop  WGANC Director will be buying golf balls. Cost per ball for preferred balls: $ 1.75  Direct Players to starting holes: Olivia will meet with Ladies’ Club Volunteers CARTS:  Carts are mandatory.  Cost per player (including range balls): $ 14.00  Number of carts available: 25  Cart path requirements: no carts on 3 pars, 90 degree on fairways

Number of host club members needed to collect money: 2-3 . Amount to be collected from each player: $ 47.00  One Cash Box with change.  One 6-foot table for WGANC scorecards (no chairs).  Ready by: 7 am  Location: Outside restaurant bar area

SCORING WORKROOM  A quiet workroom is available in the Event Center side room

FOOD SERVICE: Breakfast:  Breakfast will include: Scrambled Eggs; Veggie Scramble with Spinach, Sweet Red Onions, Shredded Zucchini and Squash with Cheddar; Smoked Bacon; Fresh Fruit Platter; Scones; Muffins; OJ and Coffee  Location: Creekside Restaurant  Time: 7 am Bottled Water or Cups of Ice Water: Creekside will place on carts and at 1 st and 10 th Tees Location: On carts 30 minutes prior to start time Lunch / Dinner:  Lunch will include: Rolls and Butter; Spring Salad with Sherry Vinaigrette and Ranch; Chicken Picatta (Capers, White Wine Garlic Sauce) over Linguini; Fettuccine Vegetarianna (lite Sauce with extra Chunky Avocado); Italian Vegetable Medly; Coffee and Iced Tea; Dessert Brownies.  Location: Event Center  Time: 1 pm  Buffet  No-host bar available: no (guests may purchase drinks at Creekside) . Payment by: Cash, Credit card

 An alternate menu is available for those with dietary concerns: yes  A podium and microphone are available in the dining room: yes  The Director will notify the Open Day Chair, Golf Pro and Food & Beverage Manager on May 28th, regarding the number of entries received, and will notify the Open Day Chair, Golf Pro and Food & Beverage Manager on May 31st(4 days before the tournament) the final non-cancellation count.  Tables should be set up in quantities of eight. DIC will provide table signs. Time: 7am . Amount to be collected from each player: $ 47.00 # Direct players to tee assignments. . Time: 8:20 # Spotters on holes #2, #7, # 10 at creek, and to direct players from #18 to #1 . Time: 8:15am # Pick up scorecards and deliver to computer room. . Time: 12:30pm Betty and Olivia will provide # Assist in awarding golf balls at lunch. . Time: Teddi and Betty

GENERAL

 Dress Code – No tank tops or jeans. No short shorts. Soft spikes only.  Players must adhere to the host club’s dress code both on the golf course and the premises of the club. The Pro Shop and/or the women’s 18-hole group of the host club will enforce the dress code, not WGANC.  Cell phones can be used as a distance measuring device provided the only function of the device is for measuring distance. If the phone and “app” has the ability to measure wind, gradient or other functions, the phone cannot be used. Cell phones can be used, however, as a phone in cases of Emergency.  Location of restrooms on course: #1 green, #7 tee, # 10 green, # 16 green, Event Center, Pro Shop

Would volunteers please wear designated colors and name badges so that they may be identified as the local committee? Colors: Team Colors, Mint Green shirt

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE: Please provide a copy of any emergency procedures in place at your club. If there are no emergency procedures, please provide a phone number players are to call in case of an emergency. (This must be a land-line at your club) (925) 988-7861
