1. When: Meeting begins at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 5th, 2010. 2. Where: Downtown Glasgow between Markles Hardware and D&G Sports & Western. (Corner of 4th St. S. and 2nd Ave. S.) 3. Eligibility: Tournament is limited to 60 teams on a first come first serve basis. Contestants must enter as a two-person team. No Changes to teams may be made after 7:00 p.m. Thursday June 3rd. Any person 14 or younger must be teamed with someone of 18 years of age. Each team member must sign this form. Each team member must have a current Montana fishing license. (You will be checked at the opening meeting by fish and game) 4. Entry Fees and Deadlines: Entry fee is $50.00 a team; this will automatically enter your team into both the tournament and big fish contests. Entries are non-refundable and may not be resold. Mail-in entries must be received by May 28th, 2009. No entries will be accepted after 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3rd. 5. Payment: Can be made by cash or check. Mandatory Meetings: Will be held before and after the tournaments. Opening meeting begins at precisely 5:00 p.m. This meeting covers the rules and regulations of the tournament and Team ID’s. The second meeting begins at exactly 12:00 a.m., this will be the official weigh in and award presentation. 7. Boundaries: Juneberg Bridge near Saco, MT to the Mouth of the Milk River. The entire Milk River within this area and tributary creeks such as Willow Creek, Rock Creek, and Cherry Creek are legal to fish. 8. Limits: The limit is five catfish per team. The total weight of all your catfish will determine who wins the tournament. (For example: Team #1 catches two catfish weighing a total of 8 lbs. And Team #2 catches their limit of five cats weighing 7 lbs. Team #1 has more weight even though they failed to catch their limit.) If a team is in possession of more than five catfish during the tournament or at the weigh in station they will be disqualified. 9. Catch and Release: All of the catfish caught during the tournament hours will be released back into the Milk River the night of the tournament. (Volunteers are appreciated.) 10. Weigh-In: Will begin at the weigh in station at exactly 12:00. If you have not arrived you will be disqualified. Fish MUST be alive! All dead fish will be discarded and not weighed. Six person tournament committee will determine whether a fish has been tampered with, altered in anyway, or caught on a setline and will disqualify them if needed. NO STRINGERS will be allowed at the weigh in station, you must have the fish removed from stringers and in proper storage container before arrival. Fish on stringers will not be weighed. 11. Fishing Hours: Contestants can only fish during tournament hours. Pre-fishing is allowed up until Friday June 4th at 6:00 p.m. Tournament Hours are 5:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. 12. Bait: Any bait is allowed during tournament hours. 13. Ties: The following will be used to break ties. Regular tournament will be awarded to the team that caught their limit of five catfish, if both teams caught their limit, it will than be awarded to the team with the heaviest catfish. Big fish contest will be split between the two winners if the weight of the catfish is the same. 14. Prizes and Awards: If less than 60 teams are entered, prizes will be reduced proportionally. Based on 60 teams, prizes will be awarded as listed on the front of this application. Must be present to win door prizes. (Weigh in meeting) 15. State and Local Ordinances: All state and/or local ordinances will be enforced. Violations will result in disqualification. 16. Alcohol: No alcohol will be allowed at the official weigh in station, any violators will be asked to leave. 17. Identification: Team ID must be worn and visible at all times. 18. Patrols and Officials: The tournament officials and security guards will consist of six individuals. At the weigh in station these individuals will be in charge of weighing in the fish, recording the weights, interviewing, etc. During the tournament hours their will be six security pickups on patrol. These individuals will have the right to check your catch amount and approximate weight. They may also count rods and check for any illegal fishing tactics. 19. Calcutta- The Calcutta will take place Friday, June 4th 7:00 at the Montana Bar located in Glasgow, MT.
More Rules * Boat or Shore * Team members must stay together. (No splitting up at any time.) * Asking Catfish Security about other team’s weights is prohibited. * No other people, but the two fishermen on the team, are allowed at the fishing site at all times. * No fishing within 100 yards of another team during tournament hours. (Exception: Vandalia Dam = 50 yards.) * If you wish to fish on private land, seek permission from landowner. * No Trotlines, Setlines, or Seining Nets, etc. * Two rods per person * No pre-marked spots Calcutta will take place Friday, June 4th 7:00 P.M @ the Montana Bar
