Stock Transfer Instructions

A stock transfer sends shares from your account to the Portsmouth Financial Services, the broker for the Diocese of San Jose. Portsmouth, upon receiving the stock, sells the stock at its earliest opportunity. The financial firm then sends the proceeds to the Diocese of San Jose, who will then distribute the funds to your designated recipient – St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception (209).

Once the Stock is Transferred 1. Please send written instructions to the Department of Financial Services as to where you want the money to go - St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception (209) & cc St. Mary's Church, 219 Bean Avenue, Los Gatos, CA 95030 attn: Teri Shepherd Tucci

2. In the same letter, please identify yourself and give your mailing address so we can credit you appropriately. 3. Identify your parish in this letter - St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception (209) . 4. You must also identify the number of shares and the type of stock given (e.g., 100 shares of XYZ corporation). 5. 6. Stock donations for whom the beneficiary cannot be determined after three (3) years will be assigned as unrestricted undesignated donations to the Chancery of the Diocese of San Jose. A letter of acknowledgment will come from the beneficiary of the gift.
