GENERAL INFORMATION

PRESENTATION DINNER: The Presentation Dinner will be held at the Whiteman Park International Pistol Club rooms on Saturday 25th November 2017, 6:30pm for 7:00pm. Tickets for the Dinner must be purchased by Wednesday 22nd November 2017. LOCATION: The range at Whiteman Park is situated off Jules Steiner Drive in the International Shooting Complex, Whiteman Park WA. Access to Jules Steiner Drive is from Beechboro Road. A map and a description of the Club can be accessed through the Club’s website www.wpipc.com/about/contact. ACCOMMODATION ON SITE: Unfortunately, during the fire season, camping is not permitted anywhere within Whiteman Park. CATERING ON THE RANGE: Breakfast, meals and snacks will be available all day in the club house. TEMPORARY FIREARMS PERMITS (required for ALL interstate competitors) Commence the application process through the WA Police website. www.police.wa.gov.au/Police-Direct/Firearms

Download “Temporary Permits Form 6 (LSF17)” Individual permits - fee $58.00 per month, up to 3 Months Only.  Applications should be made at least 2 months in advance of required date. Group application - no fee, up to 3 Months Only. Group applications should be signed by the Team Manager or Team Captain and should be made at least 2 months in advance of required date. All other conditions are listed on the application form - “Temporary Permits Form 6 (LSF17)” AWARDS: Pistol Australia will provide the following awards: i. Perpetual Trophies: National Champion, Metallic Sight Teams Event, Russell Cope Seniors Action Pistol, International 1920 Match Iron Man, Action Pistol Team, Action Match Ladies Team, Junior Champion and NRA National Action Pistol Champion. ii. Plaques: Gold, Silver and Bronze, Open Championship, Women’s Champion, Iron Man and Metallic Sight. iii. Gold Junior Champion and Senior Champion iv. Brassards: 4th to 10th Open Champion, Metallic Sights, Barricade, Practical, Moving Target and Plates. v. Team Awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze Open Team, Metallic Team and Women’s Team GRADE TROPHIES: Will be provided by Whiteman Park International Pistol Club for the top three (3) places in each grade.

EVENTS: Match 1 - Practical Event Rules 7.6 & 10.22. Match 2 - Barricade Event Rules 7.7 & 10.23. Match 3 - Moving Target (Mod) Rules 7.8 & 10.24. Match 4 - Falling Plate Event Rules 7.9 & 10.25. Match 5 - The Team Match: This is a non-fired (paper) match. The team award shall be based on the aggregate total of each team member’s individual scores from matches 1, 2, 3, & 4. Match 6 - The Iron Man Event: A combination of Matches 1, 2, 3, & 4, in both the Metallic Sight and Open Class will determine the winner of the Iron Man Award. Match 7 - The Metallic Sight Event: The aggregate of each individual’s Metallic Sight score in matches 1, 2, 3, & 4. Match 10 - The 29th PA Action Pistol National Champion: The aggregate of each individual’s Open score in Matches 1, 2, 3, & 4, shall determine his/her final standing and the winner of the Tournament the 2017 Action Pistol Nationals.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY  All nominations with accompanying fees must be received by 8 OCTOBER 2017. The signing of the entry form by the competitor and the club official is a declaration attesting to the correctness of the information contained in the entry form. Entries without full payment will not be accepted.  PROVISIONAL State Team entries must be received by the closing date of 8 OCTOBER 2017.  Phone entries will not be accepted.  Late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Organising Committee.  All Australian resident competitors must be financial members of Pistol Australia and possess a current membership card from their affiliated state body. Holster Accreditation Cards will be inspected at gun check.  NRA Action Pistol Shooting Rules effective January 2016 shall apply.  Competitors will be expected to act as target changers and observers for the next detail of competitors.  Competitor’s ammunition will be collected at each event and tested for power factor over a chronograph. Initial tests will be conducted using a ‘common gun’ for that calibre. Competitors will be notified to attend the chronograph station with their own gun, if required.  An initial sight picture will only be permitted to be taken from within the 10yd box on the Moving Target Event.  The range Attendance Book at the Clubhouse is to be signed by all competitors, officials and visitors each day upon arrival at the Club facilities.  All competitors and spectators in the vicinity of the ranges must wear appropriate eye and ear protection and enclosed footwear.  Competitors shall not wear tank tops or upper garments with loose fitting necks.  Firearms may only be uncased and cased at the shooting line at the direction of the Range Officer. Exposed firearms are not permitted behind the firing line, in the clubhouse, or in the car park. Safe Areas are available adjacent to the ranges and are to be used for any handling of uncase firearms. No ammunition is permitted in the Safe Areas.  Firearms and/or gun boxes must not be left unattended anywhere on the range or in unlocked motor vehicles. The Club has a number of lockers on the ranges for use on a first in basis. These lockers are DAY USE ONLY, no overnight use. Please provide your own padlock for the locker.  Alcohol may only be consumed at the conclusion of a competitor’s program for the day and is restricted to inside the clubhouse and the designated area on the west side of the clubhouse. The Whiteman Park International Pistol Club holds a Restricted Liquor License, therefore: o BYO alcohol is not permitted anywhere on the Whiteman Park International Pistol Club facilities at any time (this is a Liquor Licensing Act provision).  Smoking is prohibited on or near any range, within any permanent or temporary building or licensed area or within 5 meters of any open doorway or window.  Mobile phones and pagers must be turned to Off or to Vibrate Only, BEFORE entering ranges.  Children under 12 years of age must be supervised at all times.
