Health Coalition for Children and Youth

The Health Coalition for Children and Youth (HCCY) is a comprehensive coalition of organizations in Washington State that work to meet the health needs of kids, including medical, dental and mental health care.

Since it was formed in 1993, the Coalition has played a critical role in major advancements for children’s health in Washington State. HCCY helped to reinstate health coverage for immigrant children when coverage was cut by the federal government. HCCY members also collaboratively developed the blueprint for the Cover All Kids Law, passed in 2007.

Currently the Health Coalition for Children and Youth (HCCY) is supporting legislative action and investments to implement the Cover All Kids Law and provide comprehensive health coverage for every child in Washington.

Members of HCCY include clinics; hospital associations; medical, dental, and mental health care provider groups; faith-based organizations; labor unions; and public health organizations, including government public health agencies.
