The 8th Grade Rites of Passage Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 24, at 7:00 P.M. The location has been changed from South Cobb High School to McEachern High School’s Gymnasium located at 2400 New MacLand Rd, Powder Springs 30127. The Ceremony will include a guest speaker. Due to the capacity limits of McEachern High School, each student will be provided with five (5) guest tickets. Tickets will be given to students during the rehearsal on Thursday, May 19. Students are responsible for making sure that the tickets are given to their parents. Students who are a part of the Ceremony are not required to have a ticket. If a family needs more tickets, they should work with a family who may not need all of their tickets or let us know how we can assist. In order to assist families in need of extras, families who have extra tickets are asked to return them to Ms. Jones by Monday, May 23.

Required attire for the ceremony is as follows: Young Ladies –afternoon dress or skirt, dress pants and blouse; if the dress or blouse is strapless, spaghetti straps or a halter top, an evening jacket or sweater must be worn; the dress or skirt must be knee length. Young ladies will not be allowed to participate if the above requirements are not met. Young Men – pressed collared shirt and dress pants and belt (no sagging pants), tie and jacket (optional). Young men will not be allowed to participate if the above requirements are not met. Dress shoes are also required for both young ladies and young men.
