3. Guidance Counselor Report (Adrian Straker) Report on Attendance If your children are ill or absent for more than one day, please send a note with them. If your child is ill, you should not send them to school, some absences cannot be avoided. If your children are travelling, it is considered an unexcused absence. Please try to avoid travelling during the year, so your children don’t have to miss school. After 10 or more consecutive absences, it becomes an issue. Please let the teachers know in writing if your child is going to be absent. Grades 3, 4 and 5 are testing years, and attendance is paramount. School attendance was at 94% last year, we would like to keep it that way.
There will be two lock down drills this year, one before Oct 31. There will be a Middle School workshop on Oct 10, 8:45 AM and 5:45 PM Ms. Straker’s email address is [email protected]. PS 32 PTA Meeting - October 8, 2013
