 Campus Update Carolyn Hamblin  Our firewall went out and left the campus without phones, internet or network access for three days during heavy registration.

 Community Involvement / Events  Groundbreaking Friday, August 11, 2017 . Over 150 people have been invited. There is great excitement in the community for this building.  Strategic Plan Updates Standing Reports: (Three Minute Reports)  Clubs & Organizations: SAC: Colette 1. At least two of last year’s officers are returning. 2. There are some younger students interested as well. 3. SAC is dormant for the summer. However, the honor snack bar remains popular with students.  President’s Council

1  Student Services: Colette Cox 1. Advising appointments continue 2. Phone advising will occur every Saturday during August  Enrollment Services: Athena Cawley 1. The drop date is August 12 2. Op specs did overtime to catch up on processing applications 3. Registration, testing, and advising are very busy. 4. Dual enrollment students can now see their classes and be enrolled at the school  Instruction: John Cawley 1. The 400 building has been remodeled to accommodate EdReady classes and Zoom meetings. 2. Faculty orientation planning is under way 3. English 101 is full already.  Faculty: Kris Hansen 1. Faculty return Monday, August 14  Library: Kim Naylor 1. MCC is getting price breaks on EBSCO and other resources because our libraries have joined a consortium  Front office: Kristi Naylor 1. No report  Facilities: Carolyn 1. We have accepted a contract with the architects and contractors for our new building 2. Groundbreaking ceremony August 11, 2017 3. The 401 remodel is complete  IT: Carolyn/John 1. IT techs came up to do a windows 10 upgrade 2. We got new computers in the computer lab 3. Our firewall went out and left the campus without phones, network, and internet fro three days 4. Projectors continue to fail. Some have been replaced with TV’s instead.  NMC Crisis Management Review 1. Crisis management training is scheduled for faculty orientation 2. The NMC crisis management plan has been updated for the 2017-18 year.  Round Table:
