Duke of Buccleuch’s Hunt Branch of the Pony Club Junior Camp 2017 Thornielaw Farm, St Boswells TD6 0HJ Monday 31st July – Thursday 3rd August 2017

AGE: Pony Club 11 and under and children on the lead rein

TIMES: Monday to Thursday 10am prompt start, 4pm finish

CHARGE: £90.00 to be paid on registration, cheques will not be cashed until the deadline date in June, cheques to be made payable to The Duke of Buccleuch’s Hunt Branch of the Pony Club and returned with application form to:

Children need to have done at least three rallies since July 2016 to qualify for camp.

Some Senior Pony Club members may be available to help out with lead rein and others who may need assistance.

Parents please provide a packed lunch Monday – Wednesday, there will be a BBQ on Thursday. The BBQ is free for children attending camp and £5 for additional family members. A list will be made at camp for BBQ numbers. Please could each parent provide a tray bake at the beginning of the week. Each Parent will be given a job throughout the week, please indicate on form which day is best, this may include running an activity at a lunchtime, supplying lunch for the instructors, helping set up and clearing up at beginning and end of camp etc

There will be 3 ½ days of tuition by some of our finest experienced Borders instructors, activities at lunchtimes and some badges. On the last day, Thursday, there will be an opportunity for parents to see the children showcasing what they have learnt throughout the week and an award ceremony before the BBQ.

Camp polo shirts will be £10 each, if ordering one please send a cheque for £100 per child.

Approved Hats only to be worn. Hats must PAS 015 : 1998 or EN 1384 : 1996 be worn at all times when mounted. BS EN 1384 : 1997 with the BSI If other hats are worn you are not covered Kitemark under the Pony Club Insurance. All hats SNELL E2001 will be checked on the first day. AS/NZS 3838 1998 or AS/NZS 3838 2003

Body protectors ( these are obligatory for cross country ) Riding boots/ Jodphur boots Plain Jodphurs White or plain coloured shirt & Pony Club tie, camp polo shirts can be worn if ordered, issued on the first day.
