1. Make an outline of the periodic table one on pg 129  it should fill up most of an 81/2 by 11 sheet of paper 2. color in the areas for the following:  metals, metalloids, non metals  alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, transition metals, halogens, noble gases 3. Include a summary of each of the groups identified in 2 (except transition metals). 4. Indicate what is a period and what is a group and where the “staircase” is located

Section 2. one mark for every required group /8

Section 3. two marks for each summary /14

Section 4. one mark each for correctly identifying period, group and staircase /3
