Committee Charge Dr. Paul Katz, Dean- thanks committee, stating how “Diversity is very much what this school holds dear…important to have groups, such as this, that are champions to this focus.”

Diverse Community- globalization behind the boards of the US. He stresses the importance of addressing diversity issues in the CMSRU Community.

Dr. Katz leaves 1:17pm Review of Diversity Standards & Dr. Mitchell-Williams reviewed medical school expected diversity standards Diversity Statement and CMSRU Diversity Statement which was approved by the medical school board. Dr. McGeehan reviewed CMSRU student selection policy; holistic review process for admissions. The admissions committee make up is diverse and includes two community members. Diversity at CMSRU Diversity is core at CMSRU **see attachment in packet Assessment to identify gaps Student selection process at CMSRU: Holistic process; diversity, work/life Surveys experiences; community involvement all play a role; Student exposure to TACCT diverse situations are enhance by service learning, curriculum, ALG and ambulatory clinic
