Position Title: Provider Enrollment Specialist/ Department: Provider Enrollment/ CVO Credentialing Specialist Dept

Reports To: President and VP, Operations Salary Range:

Position Summary: Processes credentialing and re-credentialing applications of health care providers in a timely fashion.

Essential Job Functions: 1. Prepare and submit provider enrollment applications to various carriers

2. Will act as liaison between practitioners and Insurance carriers.

3. Perform other clerical & administrative responsibilities as assigned.

4. Conduct written and oral follow up to determine application status

5. Enters accurate and up-to-date data for each applicant into the database

6. Contact all hospital affiliations and managed care organizations to generate a contact name, phone number and fax number.

7. Maintain statistical reports for clients and the management team.

8. Assist with special projects. Perform complex clerical work requiring a high degree of decision-making for Conformance with AIA’s established policies and regulations.

9. Reviews applications and other data for accuracy & completeness.

10. Performs verification of applications by preparing requests for information letters, tracks responses and follows-up for needed information. 11. Contacts licensing agencies, and insurance carriers to complete Credentialing and re-credentialing applications. 12. Enters accurate and up-to-date data for each applicant into the database 13. Contact all hospital affiliations and managed care organizations to generate a contact name, phone number and fax number. 14. Assists with duties such as making copies, faxing, preparing mailings, attending staff meetings.

Essential Job Requirements:

EDUCATION High school graduate at minimum.

EXPERIENCE One year provider enrollment and/or credentialing experience preferred

Page 1 of 5 REQUIRED SKILLS Computer literacy necessary. Good command of the English language.

PREFERRED SKILLS Credentialing experience preferred. Knowledge of Joint Commission and NCQA Standards.

CONFIDENTIALITY Maintains confidentiality of all records and files. Ensures that data appropriate levels of security, confidentiality and integrity are enforced to protect from intentional destruction, modification, or disclosure.

OTHER Must be extremely detailed oriented. Must have independent judgment and excellent organizational skills. Certain degree of creativity and latitude Requires the verbal, written, quantitive, and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with clients, Management Team, executives, practitioners, personnel, visitors and vendors. Ability to handle multiple tasks with the maximum efficiency, producing desirable results and meeting deadlines. Ability to adapt in a rapid changing environment. Ability to Prioritize responsibilities, work under pressure and cope with interruptions. Is responsible for meeting with their immediate Supervisor on a weekly basis for updates and communication.
