Clinical Assistant Professor School of Teaching and Learning College of Education

The School of Teaching and Learning (http://education.ufl.edu/school-teaching-learning/) in the College of Education at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL), a comprehensive land-grant research university, invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor in Science Education to begin in August 2016. Responsibilities ● Teach undergraduate and graduate students in science education ● Provide coordination for and leadership of science education programs ● Engage in traditional, blended, and online program development ● Collaborate with faculty and graduate students on scholarship related to science education

Required Qualifications Evidence that doctorate will be earned by August 16, 2016 in curriculum and instruction (with appropriate focus) in science education or closely related field ● K-12 teaching experience ● Strong interpersonal and organizational skills ● Evidence of exemplary teaching, scholarly activity, and collaboration

Desired Qualifications ● Experience with online course development and online teaching ● Experience teaching science education courses in higher education ● Experience with science teacher education across the K-12 spectrum ● Commitment to and evidence of scholarship of practice ● Equivalent of master’s degree in pure or applied science field
