McKinney-Vento (Title X) Important Dates for 2012-2013 Includes information on: 2011-12 M-V grant and 2012-13 M-V grant September 2012 o September 30, 2012 final expenditure deadline for 2011-12 M-V grant (permitted up to a 15% carryover until November 15, 2012) October 2012 o October 9, 2012 – U.S. Dept. of Education 2011-12 McKinney data collection released (on-line submission) o October 11, 2012 – Mandatory M-V meeting for sub-grantee Districts/BOCES o October 12, 2012 – Feed the Children Backpack Distribution o October 27-30, 2012– National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth (NAEHCY) National Conference in Albuquerque, NM November 2012 Colorado Homeless and Runaway Youth Awareness Month o November 2012 – Kick-off events for statewide and local proclamations on Homeless Youth Awareness Month.
