Yes it is that time, to get organized for Winter Netball. If you are no longer Secretary, thank you for your hard work in the past. Please hand this information on to the new person. Please read this information carefully and pass on all information to club members. We rely upon you as the Secretary of your club to make all players, umpires, coaches and parents aware of information Full details about Camps, and Representative Trials will available to all clubs soon. It will be available on the website, and you as secretary will be asked to make sure all of your members know about what we offer.

Church Service We encourage clubs to hold their own church service during the year

The Association cannot function without a Board. To have a competition we need people to become members of the Board. Meetings are usually held 1st Monday of the month, 6.45 pm for a 7pm start and aim to finish no later than 10pm. During Rep team training meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of the month. Please consider becoming a member.

All nominations MUST be signed even if emailed. Form is included with this Newsletter In November the Executive Committee appointed Margaret Johnson as the Association Secretary and Kim Mackenroth as Treasurer

Affiliation fees include 1 program book for each team. Order extra books on the payment form. Grading for Winter 2017 will be the same as last winter.

Contact information must include your address and phone numbers & email Only your name and mobile number will appear in the program book. Email is optional for book. Information on players must include years of birth, grade played in 2016 Winter & Summer 16/17 if played If player is new to club we still need to know the years of experience. Players must be listed in teams. Forms will be returned if not filled in correctly.

Please make sure you aware of all issues of privacy concerning your club members. Ask your players, parents if they wish to their information to be kept private and if photographs can be taken

2017 PETTITT & CANA & CYC NETBALL & UMPIRE TRAINING CAMP Camp to be held at El Shaddai Camp Site at Wellington near Murray Bridge Christian Youth Camps, who own the campsite at Wellington, will again be providing all leaders and the administration. (Leaders all have police checks)

The Manager of the campsite Dave Flood will oversee the camp. Coaching Director Elizabeth Hall Umpires Director Glen Woolley Registration is available to girls and boys (Provided the boys are eligible to play in a team i.e. 12 (born in 1999) Players Camp for 11 years to 13 years Wednesday 26April – Friday 28 April Registration Fee $75 Umpires Training for 13years – 16 years Wednesday 26April – Friday 28 April Camp Registration Fee $75 Registration Fee includes Bus Fare, (Adelaide & return for all attending the camp) additional activities at camp site, camp t shirt, netball coaching, umpire coaching, all meals & accommodation There is no further cost for the camp.

Court Hire THE ASSOCIATION COURTS MAY BE USED FOR PRACTICE, HOWEVER THE COURTS MUST BE BOOKED WITH THE ASSOCIATION SECRETARY (8381 5004) TO ENSURE AVAILABILITY.

REQUEST FROM SCORES RECORDER – Have an adult complete registration information so that it is legible. All registration forms can be completed prior to the first match as long as everyone who plays in the first match is on the form. If the player does not play in the first game they can still be on the large registration form (you don't have to wait until they play).

WORKING BEE SATURDAY 25 March 2017 9AM - 12 noon ASSOCIATION COURTS The more people to help out, the more that can be done.

Each club is asked to have at least one person come out for part of the day. This would mean more jobs could be done in a shorter time Court Maintenance fee of $50 will be charged unless your club attends the working bee.

The maintenance of the courts is the responsibility of the Association. Therefore it is the responsibility of all members of the association ---- YOU Help from all Clubs is required to do this & keep fees down.

1. Fees The recommendation of the Executive Committee is the Affiliation Fees for the 2017 Association Courts $375 per team (Affiliation Fee $255 plus Facility Fee of $120, also includes 1 program book & includes GST) Suburban Courts $246 per team (Affiliation Fee $185.50 plus Facility Fee of $60.50, also includes 1 program book & includes GST)

2. Insurance The Insurance is compulsory. Negotiations are under way. Hopefully we will know by the AGM.

3. Patron The Executive Committee recommends that Mrs Joy Smith be appointed as Patron for the year 2017 4. Honoraria The Executive Committee recommends the following honoraria Secretary $3000 Treasurer $1000 Scores Recorders Association (Open & 17/U) $350 Suburban (15/U to 8/U) $500

5. Fines 2017 Recommendation that these remain the same Fines are imposed for meetings missed. The Association holds 5 meetings during the season. (2general meetings, & 3 Umpires meeting) which each club must have a delegate at. 1st meeting missed $22 2nd meeting missed $33 3rd meeting missed $44 after which two points per team per Club will be forfeited for each additional meeting missed Late Score Cards $5.50 (Max of $22 per club per week) Unregistered Players $5.50 Not Entering data on line will also receive the same fines. Not returning Pole guards after games at Association Courts $22 Late notification of forfeit (after 11.30 on Saturday morning) $80
