SUMMARY Adding a new person to the telephone system
GUIDELINES Several steps are required to add a person to the telephone system. One more step is needed for a person with a telephone in the office than a remote employee who only has voice mail. INSTRUCTIONS REMOTE EMPLOYEE
For a remote employee who does not have a telephone in the office, you only need to set up Voice Mail. To set up voice mail for a remote employee, pick an available extension between 4350 and 4379.
Follow the instructions for signing into Voice Mail as the System Administrator, then follow the instructions for creating a mail box. This is all that is needed for an employee that has no telephone in the office.
IN OFFICE EMPLOYEE
For an employee in the office who will have a telephone set and voice mail, they need to be set up in the Voice Mail system and the Telephone system. To set up an employee in the office, pick an available extension between 4301 and 4349. Make sure that it is an extension that is wired to the system.
Follow the instructions for signing into Voice Mail as the System Administrator, then follow the instructions for creating a mail box.
Follow the instructions for Associating a name with a telephone extension.
That is all that is needed for an employee that has a phone in the office.
