Postgraduate Administrative Assistant [Part-time (24 hours per week), 24-month contract] Child Nurse Practice Development Initiative Department of Paediatrics and Child Health Faculty of Health Sciences

The Child Nurse Practice Development Initiative in the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health is looking to appoint an independent and mature administrative assistant who enjoys taking full responsibility for their work. The successful candidate will be attracted to new challenges and thrive in a dynamic environment in which they can create structure and order without being too rigid. The candidate will have a well-developed ability to work with a diverse range of personality types and see themselves as stable and secure within themself.

Requirements:

 Matric with at least 2 years’ experience in an administrative position

 Fluency in English

Recommended:

 Experience in academic administration and verifiable skills in typing, MSWord, data management software and organisational skills

The successful candidate will be expected to:

 Provide administrative support to overall programme  Assist with African Paediatric Nurse Fellowship Programme administration  Facilitate arrangements for short term exchange nurses and other visitors  Provide administrative support for the new Clinical Masters Programme in Child Nursing

The annual remuneration for this part-time, 24-month contract is in between R76 878 and R141 115.
