Allen Independent School District 2007 Bright Idea Award

Bright Idea Award The Allen Independent School District Bright Idea Award recognizes AISD employees who have initiated an idea or program that made a significant contribution to their school, department or to the school district. Any AISD employee may nominate any other AISD employee for the award.

Criteria for Selection  Bright idea should be original to AISD.  Bright idea should have made some measurable difference in the classroom, department, school or school district.  Bright idea should be easily replicated by other individual(s), departments or schools.

Nomination Process Candidates for the AISD Bright Idea Awards may be nominated by any other AISD employee by returning the nomination form to the Public Information Office or by e-mailing Kelly Jackson, Public Information Office secretary, by Wednesday, April 25. Any number of candidates from any school or department may be nominated for the AISD Bright Idea Awards. All nominations will remain confidential. Only the 2007 Bright Idea Award recipients will be publicly recognized.

Qualifications Any AISD employee, full-time or part-time, is eligible to be nominated for the Bright Idea Award.

Selection Process Nominations will be received until 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25. A selection committee will then make a decision based upon the nominations. Verification of some nominations may be necessary. The number of awards will be determined each year based upon nominations. The award recipients will be announced at the AISD Employee Convocation on Monday, August 20.

Recognition – Not Competition Selecting the Bright Idea Award winners is not a competition to choose the school district's best employees. It is only intended to recognize those employees whose ideas and innovations have improved AISD during the current school year.
