3. Business arising:  Calendars – there have been some changes, an updated version will be distributed asap.  Digital media – Use the media release permission note for everything, including district trials. Shannon to update this and make available on the website.  Gala days – Netball on the 20th of March 2014, Dragon Tag in Term 4 date TBA, Basketball date TBA.  Conveners – Application forms need to be sent to Sarah Kelly ASAP. Thanks to LeAnn Hanson and Tony McCann for cricket in Term 4.  Peter Domazar is making the shell for our district swimming carnival, the shell will be emailed to everyone. School results need to be added asap so that they can be given to regional quickly.  4. Reports  Zone – report AGM Opened at 1.39pm

Seconded by Bernie Business Arising  Q: Anyone using that for Brokers permission notes  There is an online sports organisers course and State PSSA are asking for volunteers to be mentors in the program. Up to $2000 for PSSA activities. All info School Sport Unit Site (Revitalisation of School/Zone/District sport)  Email has been sent to convenors. Any changes to dates should be made by the end of the week.  SIZ soccer date will be changed due to clash with  Michael to email Libby about date change 24th or 25th March  Michael to notify when updates have been made  Michael to add Mark back to mailing list  Q: Districts still using the media release note? Yes. Find it online and just remove billeting info and change the header

Treasurers Report

 Zone not exempt from 19.5% casual on costs  Extra money allocated is for sick leave only  Costs for PSSA fees need to rise to cover costs  Schools would be left $50-$80 out per casual day unless we give them more money.  Casual rates now approximately $360-$420  Zone casual payments will rise $330 to $380  Zone affiliation needs to increase to $1200  Motion made by Rob to increase Zone Affiliation . Seconded by Peter. Passed unanimously.  This will prevent zone from running into the red.  Cheques already sent will not be sent back. These districts will need to send another cheque for $250 to cover the difference.  Cheques not sent go to Berkeley West by the end of Week 5.  All money from districts has to be paid before the first Zone trial starts.  If you don’t pay and don’t have teachers in your district running trials, a user pay system results.  For districts, possibly upping the cost per child by $1 per carnival and upping the affiliation fees for schools  Expensive casuals need to cover the extra cost of expensive casuals  Zone still has approximately $600  This will be reviewed at the beginning of 2014  Make out cheque to Zone PSSA and bring to the first meeting  Or BSB: 802249 Acc# 249045021 Zone PSSA (for online banking)  Send to Berkeley West PO box 2506 C/O Rob Dawson

6 . General Business  Mick Barby – Swimming Carnival – Relief = 2 days for Pete Domazar 1 before, 1 after, the carnival day is covered by his school as he is considered one of their required members of staff. Mick = 1 day before and 1 day of the carnival, 1 day each for a female and 1 male manager. So 6 days in total.  Shannon to update website with the district swimming carnival permission note.  $5.00 per child per carnival – collect at school. Dean will invoice the school, do not give any money to him on the day of the carnival.  Dean has sent the affiliation fee to each school.  All permission and medical notes must be given to the convener before the day of the event. Either email or fax.  Motion: Bob Mortyn would like to nominate Peter Collins for Life membership. Mortyn/Faulks.  Peter Wright Smith at North Nowra is happy to provide technical support for carnivals.
