She reported on the Etiquette Luncheon. She stated that we were one of 6 schools selected for this fine dining experience with a chef and a 4 course meal. They were taught etiquette skills that they were able to put into practice when they experienced on the day of the luncheon. Ms. Queen asked where it took place, and Ms. Giddens replied it took place here at the school. “We chose the 3, 4, 5th graders who were eligible to participate” said, Giddens. She continued to state that last week we had our Mother’s Day Shop. Each parent had something go home, this came from one of our volunteers who collects jewelry all year long and she is going to do it again next year. Ms. Giddens added that CBS Better mornings Atlanta will air a segment on it. CRCT went off great, hopefully we will have good scores to report back. We had a very event free, calm CRCT and had nothing to report to the state. The students received snacks from the Galloway School and the students were writing thank-you notes to both the Galloway School and Ms. Judy Harrison for the Mother’s Day Shop. Ms. Queen wanted to express that even though we won’t know the scores, we will be able to deal with reality and be able to state that it is a huge accomplishment that that got squared away. Ms. Eison asked when we would get the scores. Ms. Giddens replied that it takes 2 weeks from the date that we dropped them off at the test site, we would know about the level 1 students from 3rd and 5th grades. We are not sure if we will know individuals scores before school lets out but the scores would be in the report cards. Our summer school site is Grove Park Elementary for 2, 3 and 5th graders
