"47 Years of Choral Excellence!" Huntsville All-City Choral Festival 2012

Dear parents and students: (PLEASE READ COMPLETELY AND SAVE SOMEWHERE)

I am delighted to inform you that your child passed the audition for the All City Choral Festival and will be a participant in this year’s Festival. The festival is sponsored by the Huntsville Choral Directors Association (HCDA). Two outstanding choral directors have been invited to serve as guest conductors for this year’s festival and concert. The concert will be Tuesday, October 29, at 7:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church on Governors Drive.

A Festival Fee of $25.00 is due by October 25th. Payments are to made out to ACP (Academy Choral Parents) They will make a check out to HCDA at the festival for your child to participate. These fees help cover student medals, guest conductor expenses, and concert facility use. By charging this fee there is no admission charge into the concert.

Please make sure you check the rehearsal schedule for when you pick up or drop off your child, because sometimes they will be picked up or dropped off by a school bus. It can get a little confusing, so make sure your keep this on your fridge.

ATTENDANCE POLICY- Because there will be no rehearsals prior to the actual All-City Festival, it is imperative that students be present for the entire festival at First Baptist in order to rehearse with the clinicians and sing in the concert. Students must sing in the concert to receive a medal. Attendance at each rehearsal is taken and if a student is tardy or absent, he/she will be dismissed from the festival and will not be able to sing in the concert.
