OCC FOUNDATION BOARD ELECTS NEW MEMBERS
SYRACUSE, NY – The OCC Foundation Board recently elected four new directors to each serve a three-year term. The directors are:
Kathleen M. Dwyer, President, Tag Group, LLC. Dwyer is a board member of Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (WISE) at the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University as well as Onondaga Case Management. She lives in Syracuse (photo attached)
Arthur H. Rees ‘78, Lead Financial Analyst, National Grid. Rees is a past board member and vice president of Victims Assistance Center of Jefferson County. He lives in Syracuse. (photo attached)
Michael J. Reilly ‘79, Partner in charge of tax services, Dannible and McKee, LLP. Reilly is a board member for the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce and also for OCCRA. He is chairman of the board of Benefits Specialists of New York. He lives in Cicero. (photo attached)
Mark E. Tryniski ‘81, President and CEO of Community Bank System, Inc. Tryniski is board president of the Oswego State University Foundation. He is also a board member of the Everson Museum of Art; the Metropolitan Development Foundation; and ConMed Corporation. He lives in Baldwinsville. (photo attached)
The Board also nominated the following Directors for a second three-year term on the OCC Foundation Board of Directors:

Daniel J. Fisher, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Leadership, Welch Allyn, Inc.
James A. Stoddard, Sr., (CEO – retired), Haylor, Freyer & Coon, Inc. The Board also nominated the following Directors to serve in the Officer positions indicated for a one-year term:

Since its founding in 1980, the OCC Foundation, a New York State 501(c)3 Corporation, has raised vital dollars in support of the mission of Onondaga Community College. The Foundation serves as the primary fundraising arm of the College with scholarship grants now exceeding $1 million.

With more than 11,000 students, Onondaga Community College is the second- largest undergraduate institution in Central New York and was named one of the fastest-growing community colleges in the country by Community College Week. Founded in 1961, it is a comprehensive two-year college operating under the State University of New York (SUNY) and is locally sponsored by Onondaga County. Onondaga offers nearly 50 programs of study, bachelor and master’s degrees available on campus through a partnership with Keuka College, and more than 80 other transfer agreements with four-year colleges and universities. Home to the 2009 NJCAA national champion men’s and women’s lacrosse teams and the 2008 NJCAA national champion men’s tennis team, Onondaga has nine intercollegiate men’s and women’s athletic teams.
