LEMASTERS DISCUSSES CREMATION LIABILITY, BEST PRACTICES IN CANADA

STERLING, VA (May 30, 2014)— The International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral

Association's (ICCFA) cremation programs coordinator Poul Lemasters, Esq., was an instructor as part of the Ontario Association of Cemetery and Funeral Professionals' Crematorium

Certification & Training Program on March 19 in Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

Lemasters' presentation discussed "Cremation Liability: Is Anyone Really Getting Sued?" He also facilitated a Best Practices Panel Discussion later that day.

Ian Merritt, Riverside Cemetery & Crematorium in Thunder Bay, Ontario, program co-chair for the conference, said that these two sessions received rave reviews. "Poul's energetic, engaging and dynamic presentation on cremation liability is a must-see for everyone involved in the cremation industry," commented Merritt. "Whether you are making cremation arrangements or performing cremations on the front line, Poul and ICCFA will provide informative, practical solutions to minimize your cremation related liabilities." "Best practices translate no matter where you are in the world," Lemasters said. "It was a pleasure to meet with some of ICCFA's Canadian members to help them avoid being sued, and to let them know what others around the world are doing to improve their cremation services. We look forward to doing more training in Canada very soon."

Upcoming ICCFA cremation training events include:

 June 9-10: Charlotte, North Carolina (a joint two-day program with CANA)

 September 10-11: Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Dallas, Texas

 November: Phoenix, Arizona (a joint two-day program with CANA)

Registration for these programs, a multitude of cremation resources, as well as advice and answers to cremation concerns, may be found at www.cremationcentral.com.
