 Thursday, June 11, 2015 – FLAG DAY CEREMONY, Senior Club 1 p.m.  Friday, June 12, 2015 – Peekskill Seniors Strut their Stuff… Line Dancing at the Uncle Jimmy Mack 1st Annual Festival Peekskill City Hall Parking Lot, 840 Main Street.  Wednesday, June 17, 2015 - Yonkers Empire Casino, bus loads at 8:30 a.m. Cost $2pp  Thursday, June 18, 2015 – Our own Geri Kearse will be recognized at the Fieldhome (Seabury) at 1:30p.m.  Tuesday, June 23, 2015 – SAXON WOODS POOL PARTY AND BARBEQUE – Sign up in Nutrition Center, fabulous day of swimming and activities! (Rain date is Wednesday, July 24) the cost is $4 pp to cover lunch.  Friday, June 26, 2015 – CLUB TAG SALE - Donations are needed, welcomed and accepted (please only clean and usable donations). Outside vendors may rent space for $25 for the day. Volunteers are needed for this event.

LOOKING AHEAD  Tuesday, August 4, 2015 – BETHLEHEM SANDS CASINO – Shop and gamble till you drop  Saturday, September 26, 2015 – LION KING ON BROADWAY – Tickets are only $135/PP, plus lunch price which is not included. – More information to Follow

 BINGO – MONDAY, TUESDAY and THURSDAY MORNINGS 10-12. COME HAVE SOME FUN! –Join a great group of participants and try your luck with one, two or three boards. You might just walk away a winner today. (Emergency bingo callers are needed.)

 Don’t Forget Tuesday’s @ 1:00 p.m. is “Game Time” – Ladies and Gentlemen please come down and play cards, Bid Whiz, Rumy, Poker, Mahjong, etc. Or play Scrabble, Chess, Checkers, Dominoes & Pokeno – bring your pennies and a card partner. Some of our men are in need of a partner to play at the men only table. The Game is On!!! Refreshments will be served.

 Our own JoAnn Hogan was “honored” to give the Pledge of Allegiance at the Memorial Day Service at Monument Park in Peekskill hosted by the American Legion Post #274

 Julie Bentley was recognized at the Club’s Barbeque on May 29, 2015 for her many years of Dedicated, Devoted and Caring Services she gave to all at the Peekskill Senior Center. Food was catered by Valley Cottage and we were blessed with a beautiful day. Quilters raffled 14 baskets for a fundraiser .

 Seniors will be performing at the Benefit for Uncle Jimmy Mack Festival on June 12 at 1 p.m. Line Dancing Practice will take place at 1 p.m. June 1, 2, 8 & 9th in club activity room.

 PLEASE REMEMBER OUR SICK AND HOMEBOUND - Please Notify one of the Officers or Geri If You Know Someone Is Ill, Homebound Or Has A Death In The Family. Please send cards or visit our sick & shut- ins and phone calls are always a nice way to cheer folks up!

 If you have any suggestions for trips or something to do in the Club, please write it down and give it to one of the Officer or drop in suggestion box in the Club Room.

 Many thanks to The Cortlandt Healthcare for hosting “Dancing with the Stars” This was a fabulous event and Peekskill Seniors are still talking about it. Service was good, food was delicious and the dancers were amazing.

 We would like thank the entire staff at North Westchester for hosting such a wonderful luncheon for the Peekskill Seniors on May 19, 2015. Music and food was excellent! GRATITUDE FROM JULIE

TO COUNCILWOMEN VIVIAN MCKENZIE AND KATHY TALBOT FOR OUR WONDERFUL MOTHER’S DAY TEA PARTY AND TO THE CITY FOR PROVIDING THE CORSAGES FOR THE EVENT. IT WAS A DELICIOUS AND ELEGANT AFFAIR. THANKS TO VIVIAN AND HER HUSBAND AND WAITRESS DIANE FROM KATHLEEN’S TEA ROOM FOR THE WONDERFUL SERVICE AND CATERING . THANKS TO KATHY TALBOT FOR ALL THE DOOR PRIZES. THE TABLE CENTERPIECES WERE DONATED BY THE BENTLEY FAMILY IN HONOR AND MEMORY OF OUR MOM GERTRUDE MCKEON BENTLEY . EVERYONE HAD SUCH A WONDERFUL TIME. IT WAS TRULY APPRECIATED BY ALL. TO MY SENIOR GANG FAMILY –IT IS WITH A GREAT DEAL OF DECISION MAKING THAT AFTER WORKING ONE JOB AND SOMETIMES TWO FOR THE LAST 48 YEARS THAT I AM NOW RETIRING . I WILL NEVER FORGET OUR WONDERFUL TIMES HERE AND THE WONDERFUL FRIENDSHIPS I HAVE COME TO KNOW AND ALL THE LOVE AND CONCERN I HAVE FOR EACH OF YOU. YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN WITH ME EVEN IN SOME OF MY DARKESS HOURS . I WILL NEVER FORGET AND HOPE TO KEEP IN CLOSE TOUCH. ALL MY LOVE , JULIE
