2. I can explain the divisions of the Nervous System and their functions. (Brain reading notes). a. Autonomic vs. Somatic

b. Sympathetic vs. Parasympathetic 3. I can describe the function of association areas. Ex. Visual, Auditory, etc… (Brain reading notes)

4. I can explain the differences between the brains of different species. (Brain notes)

5. I can recount the story of Phineas Gage and explain its importance to the field of psychology. (Brain notes and warm-up) 6. I can identify on a diagram the parts of the neuron covered in class. 7. I can explain the path of neurotransmission using the vocabulary associated with the neuron. 8. I can explain why the teen brain is less able to make wise and rational decisions compared to an adult brain.
