Having a bunch of new faces this year; Coach Oberg did a great job with this group to compile a 30-18 record, winning 2 events along with 4 second place finishes. They competed in 4-NCAA exposure events, their Annual Indiana- Kentucky All Star game, trips to Lexington, Louisville, Nashville, Indianapolis and two Mid America Youth Basketball Events. They played with a ton of heart and determination that always kept them competitive! Next year this group loses at least 5 players and will be looking to pick up several new players. Interested players should contact [email protected] right away so coaches can come watch you play several times before our spring tryouts # Name Height Future School & Class 3 Jackie Young 5’7” Princeton ‘16 10 Danielle Quinlin 5’7 Mater Dei ‘15 13 Maren Witte 5’3” Castle ‘14 15 Morgan Saiko 5’6” Castle ‘14 22 Ashlynn Spahn 5’3” Mater Dei ‘14 24 Taylor Howerton 5’5” Hopkins Co., KY ‘14 30 Zuriel Sanders 5’9” Castle ‘15 33 Tori Schickel 5’11” Mater Dei ‘15 43 Olivia Hunt 6’3” Castle ‘14 54 Stephanie Sherwood 5’10 Memorial ‘15

Maybe the biggest surprise within the program, this group played up 1 or 2 divisions most of the time and still finished with a 25-10 record! Winning 3 events: including MIDWEST YOUTH TOURNAMENT NATIONS, Reebok Challenge in St. Louis, and National Club Challenge in Indianapolis. Team also competed in Mohr Magic Classic in Fishers, Governor’s Cup and YBOA State Championships in Nashville, Memorial Day Wildcat Open in Lexington and local MAYB (playing in HS Open Division). Team will expand tournament schedule to include some July NCAA Exposure events next year. No determination has been made at this time on if the team will split in separate aged teams for next year. This first year team found great early success but quickly found out how tough it is to play up as the season progressed. (Successful teams are always forced to play up to be challenged by bigger stronger and old kids). Finishing the year with a 28-27 record may seem a bit below our standard, but it’s not all about the wins/loses. It’s really all about making all the kids better which definitely occurred on this group of girls. They learned to battle thru adversity, adjust to new roles for many of them, and got to see what real travel basketball is all about. Look for all these girls to excel on next year’s school teams and many to return to the program again next year as they want to continue to get better 4 Ali Spahn 4’8” Evansville, IN 5 Katelin Maggard 4’8” Henderson, KY 7 Abigail Arnold 5’2” Henderson, KY 11 Zion Sanders 5’4” Newburgh, IN 12 Emily Hunter 5’1” Morganfield, KY 14 Payton Hite 4’7” Henderson, KY 15 Aubree Lankford 4’10 Ft. Early season training sessions sure made an enormous difference for this group! Finishing up with an impressive 38-14 record winning 3 events, undefeated in spring league, and helping the program win their second NATIONAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP on the girl’s side! Events included trips to Edwardsville, IL, Indianapolis, Nashville, Lexington, 2 Louisville events, and 3 area events in which they played up. We will be excited to see many of these girls back to continue to work hard and improve their skills by competing against top talent from around the Midwest
