Learning Dear Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to Snow School! I speak for all our wonderful teachers and staff when I say that we are very excited to have the opportunity to teach your child this year.

The first day of school is TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2015. It will be a half day of school for all students. School begins at 8:35 AM and will end at 11:45 AM on the first day.

WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th will be a full day of school for students in grades 1st-5th. School will begin at 8:35 AM (tardy bell at 8:40 AM) and end at 3:35 PM. Kindergarten students will attend 8:35 – 11:45 the first week of school. They will attend full days beginning on Monday, September 14.

We will be posting the class lists on the lobby windows by Door 10 by 4:00 PM on Friday, September 4. Please be aware that we may need to make changes to your child’s class assignment after the school year begins, due to situations beyond our control, such as late enrollments and/or teacher grade changes.

Please join us for the PTA Opening Day Coffee in the cafeteria at 8:45 on September 8. You will have a chance to meet other parents and enjoy a peaceful transition into the new school year.

All students will line up outside the nearest door to their classroom at 8:30 am as follows:

Kindergarten: Enter/Exit at Culver Street, new wing doors

1st Grade (except Mrs. Slater): Enter/Exit at Culver Street, Door # 19

2nd Grade & Mrs. Slater: Enter/Exit at Culver Street, Door #2

3rd Grade: Enter/Exit at Houston Street, Door # 11

4th Grade: Enter/Exit at Houston Street, Door # 11

5th Grade: Enter/Exit at Houston Street, Door # 11

Bus Riders (All grades): Enter/Exit at Houston Street, Door # 11

Siblings may choose whichever door is most convenient and use that door together. Classroom teachers will escort the students into the building classrooms at the first bell. In case of inclement weather, students will remain in the lobby until the first bell. All other teachers will be in the main lobby area and hallways to assist parents and children as needed. Class lists and signs will be posted on the main lobby windows.

The first day of school is a half day (8:35 AM-11:45 AM) on September 8, 2015. No breakfast or lunch will be served.

On full days the first bell is at 8:35 AM and the tardy bell is at 8:40 AM. The dismissal bell is at 3:35 PM. The first full day of school for students in grades 1st-5th is on Wednesday, September 9.

Breakfast will be served in the classrooms after the bell. Updated information about prices for lunch, breakfast and snacks will be sent home on the first day of school.
