TO ENROLL IN AN ENRICHMENT CLASS: REGISTRATION:  Complete a registration form and waiver for each student Will be held in the Multi-Use Room on: and each class. Wednesday, September 8, from 7:45-8:15 a.m.  Staple your check to the registration form, payable to the AND 1:30-2:15 p.m. company or instructor of the class. Mondays, Sept. 20 – Nov. 1 Extraordinary Earth The Extraordinary Earth: See how plants turn sunshine and water Cost: $77 into food and the air we breathe. Peek beneath the earth’s crust and 6 classes uncover how rocks and gems are formed. Go hunting for dinosaur Time: 2:50 – 3:50 fossils and make molds of the bones you find! Discover the Grades: 1-5 importance of weather and how tornadoes form. Take home your own Room: C-4 (Science Lab) plant and sedimentary stacker! Company: Mad Science

Tuesdays, Sept. 21 – Nov. 2 ALL FIRED UP! This class includes a large variety of ceramic pieces for your little artist to Cost: $84 choose from. These beautiful works of art can be displayed or given to a 6 classes loved one who appreciates the creative talents of a child. Your child will Time: 2:50 – 3:50 create their very own unique ceramic project each week. The instructor will show the children how to use techniques to decorate their pre-molded pieces. Grades: K-5 Projects will be completed weekly. All Fired Up will glaze & fire them. The Room: Multi-Use following week the completed projects will be returned to the student Instructor: Becky Susini wrapped, bagged and labeled. After firing the pieces are food safe and  washable. Tuesdays, Sept. 21 – Dec. 14 (no class 11/9 and 11/23) Singing Lessons – Songs of a Our instructors play piano as they introduce songs and lyrics from timeless Princess animated fairy-tales. Hike, play a variety of sports, experience fitness training, devour healthy Cost: $96 snacks, and document your fun with a photo finish album! This class is for 8 classes anyone who likes to try new things, have fun, and get fit at the same time. Time: 2:50 – 3:50 This class is for all ages and is co-ed. Can’t wait to play! Thursdays, Sept. 23 – Nov. 4 Creative Creations  We have combined the best of the best in this class. This class is designed for Cost: $96 students to create different art pieces. They learn basic principles to create 6 classes Mosaics, Warm Glass Firing, Clay Molding and more using different Time: 2:50 – 3:50 mediums like glaze, paint, clay, glass and various tools. We say the basic, Grades: K-5 but these pieces are truly works of art. We encourage the children to learn and use their skills we teach them. They will be proud and so will you. Thursdays, Sept. 23 – Dec. 16 (no class on 11/11 and 11/25) Music Buddy Piano Lessons Students will learn music fundamentals such as sight-reading, theory and Cost: $140.00 composition. Musical concepts are introduced using games, workbook study, 10 classes songs and lots of instrumental practice. Thursdays, Sept. 23 – Dec. 2 (no class on 11/11 and 11/25) Chess  Chess is fun and can be learned quickly and easily. Studies have found that Cost: $96; ½ price sibling the hidden rewards for students of Chess are surfacing on test results in discount reading, science and math. Beyond strategic thinking and logic, chess helps 8 classes in building self esteem, observation and recognition skills, respect for others Time: 2:50 – 3:50 and good old fashioned manners! Fridays, 2 four-week sessions, beginning Sept. 24 (no class on 11/12 and 11/26) Carpentry for Girls and Boys  Individualized instruction for both beginner and advanced students. Cost: $88 per 4-week session  You DO NOT need to take Session 1 to take Session 2 Time: 2:50 – 4:35  Session 1 Session 2 Both Sessions Grades: 1-5  9/24 – 10/15 10/22 – 12/3 9/24 – 12/3 Room: Multi-Use  Kids love the opportunity to learn to use hammers, saws, drills, planes and Instructor: Julie Cole other basic hand tools to make fun projects out of wood. After students have taken their first introductory session they choose from boats, cars, trucks, bird feeders, dollhouses and for advanced students, real furniture. Besides safe carpentry techniques, kids learn cooperation, patience, measuring, fractions and problem solving. Classes are taught by former math teacher Julie Cole, who has taught carpentry for 20 years in the East Bay.
