GUIDELINES FOR STAFF SUPPORT ASSISTANCE
STAFF SUPPORT AVAILABLE
• Coursework - Word processing, copying, collating of syllabi, handouts, exams and correspondence; posting to Sakai, scoring exams and evaluations; assist with reserve readings and book orders
• Professional Support - Professional correspondence (letters, memos, mass mailings)
• Miscellaneous - ex. Reserve rooms for conferences/meetings, catering assistance course luncheons, mail distribution, special projects, travel assistance such as CABS
TIMEFRAMES FOR SUBMITTING WORK TO STAFF
• Coursework
a. Exams: 5-10 working days (formatting/copying)
b. Handouts: 10 working days (formatting/copying/scanning) before date needed.
c. Scoring Exams: 24-48 hours for scoring and posting grades
d. Reserve Readings: Prepare and submit to support staff upon notification from the HSL of reserve deadlines
e. Book Orders: Book request can be completed by faculty using the procedures and deadlines specified by student stores library prior to the beginning of each semester
• Professional Support
a. Correspondence: 5 working days
b. CV formatting assistance (APA 6TH ed. UNC Required Format):
• Travel/ Miscellaneous Reimbursement- ex. Conferences, membership dues, course luncheons (Please fill out reimbursement form)
• Travel: AHEC mileage/receipts must be submitted monthly • Miscellaneous - Vouchers, To be negotiated with staff • Resources Email SONHELP - Computer or printer issues Email SONBLDG – Ergonomics, hot/cold room temps, all housekeeping needs, security, key/building access OFFICE SUPPLIES - Send email to [email protected].
** Program related needs go to the Division Managers *** (For budget balance inquires please contact accounting) PROCTORING EXAMS IS NOT A “STAFF FUNCTION”
