TOWN OF PLEASANT VIEW CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES November 10, 2015 7:00 PM at Pleasant View City Hall 1008 Civic Court, Pleasant View, Tennessee
CALL TO ORDER at 7:00 PM by Mayor Keenan
ROLL CALL Present: Mayor Perry Keenan, Vice Mayor Danny Rediker, Alderman Randell Bracey, Alderman Bruce Drake, Alderman George Leasure

CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES Vice Mayor Rediker motioned to approve the minutes from the Regular Council Meeting on October 13, 2015. Alderman Drake 2nd the motion. All Aye. Mayor Keenan – Did not vote. Motion passed.
APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA OF THE EVENING Alderman Bracey motioned to approve the agenda of the evening. Vice Mayor Rediker 2nd the motion. All Aye. Mayor Keenan – Did not vote. Motion passed.
PUBLIC FORUM Chief Derek Noe – Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department Chief Noe spoke on behalf of Leadership Cheatham County about the Poverty Simulator on January 12 th at 1:00 pm to be held at the Pegram Church of Christ across from City Hall.
Vice Mayor Rediker motioned to close the public forum. Alderman Drake 2nd the motion.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR A. Cruise’n N Groove’n People’s Choice Presentation – Mr. Ben Shearon 1930 Ford 2 Door Sedan B. TVA to present survey results Thursday, November 19th – 5:30 p.m. at City Hall C. Thank you to all of the Veterans who have served and are serving. Pleasant View Elementary School will have a program this Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

BUILDING COMMISSIONER REPORT Residential Permits – 0 Commercial – 0 Additions – 0 Swimming Pools – 0 Remodel Permits – 2 Other (Driveway, Sign) – 2 Accessory – 0
PLANNING COMMISSION Worked on the Sign Ordinance and forwarded to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen tonight for approval; approved site sketch for Hollingsworth Oil at Highway 49 and OCP.
PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD Worked on Grand Marshal for Christmas Parade which will be on Saturday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m.
BUSINESS ADVISORY BOARD No official meeting. Next meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 19th.
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Misty Keenan announced the Chamber will be sponsoring the Christmas parade for the Town, as well as the residential and business lighting contests. There will be a 12 Days of Christmas Shop Local event from December 7th through the 18th.
OLD BUSINESS A. Expenses to the Department of General Services for the purchase of a 2005 Chevrolet K2500 HD 4X4 truck for Public Works
Vice Mayor Rediker motioned to approve expenses in the amount of $6,400.00 to the Department of General Services. Alderman Leasure 2nd the motion. Vice Mayor Rediker – Aye. Alderman Leasure – Aye. Alderman Bracey – Aye. Alderman Drake – Aye. Motion passed.
NEW BUSINESS A. Surplus Property – 1999 Chevrolet G3500 1 Ton Truck – VIN#1GBJK34F5XF080423
Vice Mayor Rediker motioned to approve the surplus of the 1999 Chevrolet G3500 1 Ton Truck. Alderman Drake 2nd the motion. Vice Mayor Rediker - Aye. Alderman Drake – Aye. Alderman Bracey – Aye. Alderman Leasure – Aye. Motion passed.
2 OTHER BUSINESS A. Ordinance 15-08 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF PLEASANT VIEW, TENNESSEE BY DELETING CERTAIN SECTIONS IN ARTICLE IV AND REPLACING THEM WITH NEW SECTIONS. 1st Reading
Alderman Leasure motioned to approve Ordinance 15-08. Alderman Bracey 2nd the motion. Alderman Leasure – Aye. Alderman Bracey – Aye. Vice Mayor Rediker – Nay. Alderman Drake – Nay. Mayor Keenan – Aye. Motion passed. 1st Reading
- Vice Mayor Rediker commented on the recent audit report stating that sales tax revenues came in more than $100,000 more than projected.
ADJOURNMENT Vice Mayor Rediker motioned to adjourn. Alderman Bracey 2nd the motion. All Aye. Mayor Keenan – Did not vote. The meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
The next meeting is scheduled for December 8, 2015 at 7:00 PM at Pleasant View City Hall, 1008 Civic Court, Pleasant View, Tennessee.
