Making Strides breast cancer walk October is National Breast Cancer month and Get Healthy Now is building teams and looking for support for the ACS Making Strides Breast Cancer walk. April 1 Heart Association recognizes UofL for health promotion The American Heart Association has named UofL a Gold Award "fit friendly employer" for the third straight year. The designation recognizes workplaces that give employees access to healthier choices during the workday, including physical activity opportunities, food selections and educational opportunities. Get Healthy Now, with support from President James Ramsey and Office of Community Engagement, applies annually for the designation on behalf of the university.
