Here it should be noted that, Goods and Services Tax (GST) is required, if an entity that is carrying on an enterprise which has an annual turnover of $75 000 or more, or you supply taxi travel as part of carrying out your enterprise.

When completing the activity statement we discovered that we have made a mistake or left something out on a previous activity statement. While the normal way to correct these mistakes is to revise the previous activity statement, in some cases you can correct it on a later activity statement. However, If the error is outside the correction or time limits of this guide we will normally revise our net amount for the relevant tax period and we would be sent a notice of assessment. The general interest charge will need to be paid on a revision to an activity statement for an earlier tax period.

Task1:-

I am a financial controller in hotel Futura hotel. As a financial controller my duty is to conduct internal financial audits departmentally and holistically. Six months ago we have implied a new point of sales (POS) in food & beverage outlets. The staff training also was conducted in the operation of this system. In spite of this training there are some common errors in our audit process, pone of them is the non – collection of GST from two outlets. As we discovered this activity has happened in these 2 outlets more than four years. In will write a report in which will include the steps which can help us to improve these mistakes. This is the main law all business must collect GST on behind of the government.

Then we will make a report of this knowledge and discuss in all our team members. We will tell them that what is non - collection GST and why it’s necessary in any industry. Analyse the lower profit because of GST instead of more , we get less profit check for the price include GST on it. We have to pay it. We have to make sure GST have been collected.

We will use some steps to avoid a recurrence and to minimise the risk to the business. .My first step is check all the prices that GST is charged or not . I would check the view point of sale to make sure all the dates in there is correct of the price on GST component are set up properly.

As a financial controller I will check the all records every month that the manager of our club obeys the rules of government and pay non -collection GST. If he will make any mistake and will not pay this tax I will give him information about legislative compliance. I follow that does happen next time , but how we find . Outlet supervisor must keep daily summery shows clearly the sales and the GST component monthly. They should be submit to financial controller to check. Then you need give some training to the staff about all things that how to do for all that , You should include police and procedure for all the staff. The financial controller should be six month older.

As I told before six months ago we implemented a (POS) system in our restaurant. According to this system we will conduct the food &beverage outlets and give training to staff about this system. By this system we will come to know that how much we sell in one month, how much GST get. We will use different sources to get legal knowledge like TV, radio, newspapers, internet , books which will relate with legal knowledge and we will discuss with lawyers and take their advice that how can we follow the laws according to the ;legal knowledge. Task 2:-

According to this task we have “SURFERS COAST services club”. In these days we are expanding the facilities in our club. We have one conference centre, function centre and a bottle shop in our club. We want to expand our club in a large area that by we thought to provide the more facilities than before.

Except of this we have dining area/ bistro/ bars/ gaming areas will trade and remain same. We operate these departments to increase the membership base because the construction phase does create any problem.

We have 200 modern audio video visual and wireless technical sources in our centre area to help our members and customers to do their work easily. By these sources they can get the pictures, record anything for future as proof and talk anywhere when they want through the wire

All legal implications and obligations to all areas of the club.

As we corrected a mistake within the time and correction limits, there will be no penalties or general interest charge. However, if we consider that we are misusing the arrangements in this guide; we will not be able to rely on it and will need to revise our earlier activity statements to correct the mistakes. We may be subject to penalties and general interest charge where we have underpaid amounts of GST.

Seek specialist advice required for compliance with legal and licensing requirements and provide an evidence of this.

We will go to any lawyer discuss our problems about complication with legal and licensing requirements and get legally knowledge about this. Then we will follow lawyer’s advice and fix our problems. For example, we will pay all our taxes which we should give to think keep the photo copies of these details as evidence for future.

We obey the all laws which apply on our business. We can achieve a lot of things of compliance like we can expand our business easily without any problem if we follow the rules, we can get the support of government I mean if we pay the all tax on the time we get any loan to the government when we will need. Except of this we keep our business safe future.
