Elektra recording group Fitz and the Tantrums is celebrating summer with a flurry of activity surrounding today’s release of the Deluxe Edition of last year’s acclaimed “FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS.” The new and improved album – which still includes the RIAA platinum certified smash hit, “HandClap” – is available now all digital music retailers and streaming services on Friday, July 28th. “ FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS: DELUXE EDITION” includes a number of bonus tracks including the irresistible new single, “Fool,” available individually at all DSPs and streaming services. As if that weren’t enough, “FITZ AND THE TANTRUMS: DELUXE EDITION” also adds an exclusive remix of “Fool” along with previously unreleased live recordings of album highlights “Run It” and “Walking Target.”

“Fool” is fast shaping up as summertime smash for Fitz and the Tantrums, debuting at TK after its first week at Hot Ac radio outlets nationwide while also earning more than TK million streams at Spotify alone. Hailed by People as an “infection pop hit,” the track is drawing national applause, with TIME declaring it “an infectiously funky summer bop” in their weekly “5 Songs You Need to Listen to This Week,” adding, “Mixing analog and electro elements in their idiosyncratic style, (‘Fool’) slips between more traditional pop and a synthy R&B style. And while ostensibly it's a song about getting rid of a lover gone awry, the ultimate message feels optimistic.” “Fool” is also joined by a colorful companion music video, streaming now at the Los Angles-based band’s official YouTube channel.

Fitz and the Tantrums made their world-shaking debut with 2010’s “PICKIN’ UP THE PIECES,” which reached #1 on Billboard’s “Heatseekers” chart following its release on Dangerbird Records, ultimately residing on the chart for a remarkable 73 weeks. Widely considered among the best live outfits of the era, the band has spent much of their existence on the road, performing countless headline shows and show stealing sets at myriad festivals including Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, ACL Music Festival, and many more.
