Captain’s Log Book

Because each ship captain is as unique as the ship herself we would like the Captain’s Log Book that you create to reflect your own unique personality and keep with the tradition of unique and individual log books from the seafaring past. That being said, we also need to set a few parameters so that our display at the San Diego Maritime Museum is one that is both professional and cohesive in nature. You WILL be allowed to pick out your own Captain’s Log Book, but it must meet the following requirements.

The journal MUST be bound (this can be bound like a typical journal or with nice looking spirals - not like the typical school wire spiral notebook, however)

The journal MUST be black or brown (this can be black/brown leather, pleather or hard stock)

The journal MUST be larger than 3” x 5” and smaller than 8” x 10”

The journal MUST be unlined (so there can not be lines on any of the pages. They must be blank like a sketchpad)

The journal MUST have a plain cover (no words, designs or pictures. The only exception to this is the word “journal” can appear on the cover)

The journal MUST cost less than $25.00

And finally, you MUST bring the journal you’ve chosen in no later than Tuesday, September 5th WITH your receipt to have it OK’d by your first period teacher!!
