Only the other two shoes thrown will be considered in scoring. 4. 30 shoes shall be pitched; the team with the most points will win the game. 5. The choice of first pitch shall be determined by the toss of a coin or a flipped-up shoe. In successive games between the same players, the loser shall have choice. 6. The last team to make a point will be the first team to shoot in the next inning. 7. In the event of both teams getting the same amount of points or neither team scoring, the team who pitched first in the last inning will pitch first in the next. 8. In the event of a tie, the team will go into extra “innings” and determine the winner from there. 9. No contestants, while opponent is in pitching position, shall make any movement that does or might interfere with opponent’s playing. 10. No contestant shall touch his own or opponent’s shoe(s), until winner of point(s) has been agreed upon by contestants. 11. No contestant shall walk to the opposite stake or be informed of the position of shoes prior to the completion of an inning. 12. The player, while not pitching, must remain on the opposite side of the stake to the player who is pitching. 13. The player who is pitching must be behind the front of the box until the shoe leaves his hand. If his toe goes past the front of the box, the shoe will be considered a foul shoe. 14. Any shoe hitting the box or landing outside of the box shall be considered a foul shoe. 15. Foul shoes may be removed from the opposite pitcher’s box at the request of the opponent. 16. A foul shoe shall not be scored or credited except in the score column headed “shoes pitched.” 17. Measurements to determine points shall be made with a spare shoe, measuring from the stake to the shoe. If both ends are touching, it will be considered a point.
