4. Draw a picture of Franklin and all his friends from the story. Label each person.

2. Show the children a picture of bikes, safety equipment, and other bike related items. Ask them if they enjoy riding bikes? What bike safety rules do they follow? Today our book is about Franklin and his new helmet. Let's read and see what rules he follows.

3. Discuss with the children embarrassing situations. What they are. Ask them what are some things that might embarrass them? How did it make them feel? Today in our story Franklin get embarrassed and almost misses out on something fun. Let's read and see why?
