And watch how simple it is to prepare a graham cracker press-in crust for our Sweet Potato Pie.

#107: Easy Elegant Tarts

Tarts are often considered fancy and intricate. They’re similar to pie but the crust is often sweeter, and there is less filling. On today’s show, John bakes Blueberry Tart, Rustic Nectarine Tart, Pear Tart and Key Lime Tart.

#108: Classic Cookies

Cookies are perhaps the easiest and fastest baked sweets you can make. On today’s show, John makes four classic cookie recipes. Our Kitchen Sink Cookies are packed with chocolate chunks, raisins and pecans. Peanut Butter Surprise Cookies are soft and chewy, and each one is topped with a chocolate peanut butter cup. We bake two kinds of Icebox Shortbread cookies: one is flavored with orange zest and cranberries, and another contains dried apricots and pistachios. And the cookie jar wouldn’t be complete without Oatmeal Date Cookies.
