CITY AND COUNTY OF SWANSEA DINAS A SIR ABERTAWE LLANRHIDIAN PRIMARY SCHOOL YSGOL GYNRADD LLANRHIDIAN Headteacher : Mrs D E Caswell B Ed ( Hons); NPQH Deputy Headteacher: Mrs R A Jones BA Ed (Hons) Llanrhidian, Swansea. SA3 1EH. Tel (01792 390181) www.llanrhidian.swansea.sch.uk [email protected]

Dear Parent/Carer, A big thank you to all the year 3 and 4 parents who came to view their amazing film this week. This project was funded by the Arts Council Wales, and was a joint venture between all our cluster schools. A big thank you to Gowerton Comprehensive for pulling it all together. Well done too to our own Mr Goremano, David Marchant and Catherine Bennet for all their hard work.

Last week we asked for your support to help us with our healthy schools objectives. We have received lots of great ideas, thank you. For this reason we have made the decision not to sell donated cakes at the Easter and Gallery event. Instead, however, you will be able to visit each classroom gallery where they will be selling healthy, but very yummy, options to raise money for their own classes. We were delighted this week, when one parent sent in fresh strawberries to share with the class as a birthday treat. What a fabulous idea! Again keep your healthy ideas coming, and if you are able to support with preparing for this event please, please contact your class teacher. Please can you send in raffle donations asap so we can put these together. (And no! These do not have to be healthy as they are a raffle prize).

We will soon be moving over to a new, more sustainable website platform. Don’t worry it will look the same to you and have the same web address. However, for this reason, some of our policies are a little out of date on the existing site. We will be putting updated ones on the new site once migrated. (We will keep you informed). In the meantime, if there are any policies that you would like, please email Jayne and she can email you. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Please note that there are three new INSET days for your diary. These are 21st July 2017, 4th September 2017 and 28th September 2017.

Kind Regards Mrs Caswell
