Where is it? The Sydney opera house is in the Sydney harbour on the eastern side of Sydney in Australia NSW. It is a couple hundred metres away from the Sydney harbour bridge. There is a navy base around about 500-600 metres away from the Sydney opera house. What’s involved? It looks like six triangles stuck to gather, it also looks like three shells interlocking on each side. The events that happen there is stuff like opera and plays. It is built over the water. It has two main performance rooms and a restaurant in it.

Why is it world heritage?

The criteria it matches:

To represent a masterpiece of human creative genius;

It is significant for humanity because it took ages for them to design, build and it was lot of money to build. It is a building from the 20th century and the designer was very creative but never has got to see it finished. It has had a great impact on architectures. Natural in Brazil

Where is it? The Central amazon conservation complex is the land to the left of the river is the eastern edge of the Jau national park.

What’s involved? It is a rain forest with a river running through it. It is the largest protected area in the amazon basin it is over 6 million hectares. It is one of the planets richest regions in terms of biodiversity. Why is it world heritage? To contain the most important and significant natural habitats for in-situ conservation of biological diversity, including those containing threatened species of outstanding universal value from the point of view of science or conservation.

To be outstanding examples representing significant on- going ecological and biological processes in the evolution and development of terrestrial, fresh water, coastal and marine ecosystems and communities of plants and animals.

It is significant to humanity because it is such a great stretch of land that is so rich on biodiversity. It is also home to one of the largest electrical fish in the world. It is home to a lot of protected species. Including the giant arapaima fish, the amazon manatee, the black caiman and two species of river dolphins.
