Mobile APP for Polling Station Statistics “Booth Diary”

Objective: For effective and efficient Monitoring of Polling Stations at AC and District Level, a mobile app ‘Booth Diary’ has been developed by NIC UP State unit as per the direction from Chief Electoral office, Uttar Pradesh. This App facilitates the District Election office to manage the electoral activities in better way. The various information of polling station like Geographical position of PS, Total Electors, Name and contact details of all concerned officials like BLO,ERO,ARO are available and can be obtained through this app anytime anywhere. Facilities:

By using this app CEO,DEO and ERO/RO can monitor the facilities available in Polling stations, Criticalness of polling stations and all the information of personals. There are three type of users in the level of State, District and AC are available in the app. The State Level user can monitor Polling stations of all the districts, District level user can monitor Polling stations of concerned district and AC Level User can monitor the PS under within that AC. This APP work in On-line mode at the level of state and district while the AC level user can work in on-line/off-line. The session can be maintained at all the levels i.e. Once user has logged in the APP, he need not to be login again if he has not logged out from the APP.

State Login District Login AC login 1) State and District login:

After getting logged in at State Level, user has to select the district, AC and Polling station and click on SUBMIT button. Similarly if district level user has logged in, he has to select the AC and Polling station and click on SUBMIT Button. After clicking the submit button following information can be retrieved for the selected Polling Station

2) AC Login

After getting logged in at AC Level, user has to select the polling station. If None of Polling station is showing there, User has to click on ‘SYNC’ as per the instructions given in the mobile screen. ( Sync option is available in the upper right corner of mobile screen)

After sync, the list of polling stations will be available on screen, user has to select the polling station and click on submit button. The information of Polling Station are available as per following screen. In case of any updation or corrections in the data of Polling Stations, the sync process will be repeated again. If Users has logged in, sync data will be available even in case of non-availability of internet.

POLLING STATION WISE AVAILABLE INFORMATION

a) Polling Station Basic Information:

Geographical Information of Polling station like tehsil, block/local bodies, gram sabha and police station can be viewed under this option.

b) Electors Information

The Number of male & female electors as per the electoral roll is available in this option.

a) Assured Minimum Facilities

Information of the those Assured minimum facilities (Drinking water, electricity, Ramp, Toilet, Shade and Telephone), which are not available in the polling station can be obtained.

b) Law and Order Information

The current position of the sensitivity and criticalness of the selected polling station as well as during previous election and information related with Law & order are available in this option c) Officer’s Information

1) Electoral officers: ERO ,AERO,BLO, BLO Supervisor

2) Police Officers: Police Sector Officer,SHO, Police beat Constables

3) Sector Office/Magistrate, Electricity Supply Officers (JE, Lineman),Local PHC Doctor, JE(Jal nigam),Block Education officer, ASHA, Village Chokidar,Rasoia and safaikarmi

d) Communication Plan

Name & Contact Details of those officials attached with the selected polling station as per the communication plan (As per the ECI guidelines) like Zonal officer, Sector Officer, runners etc. will also be made available during election
