Short Biography

Mr. Bruce Rodin is currently Vice President Wireless Technology at Bell Mobility, the wholly owned wireless division of Bell Canada.

In this role, he is responsible for the development of all new wireless technologies at Bell including the establishment of strategic direction relating to spectrum acquisition, network planning and development towards LTE / SAE and beyond, services, and terminal / product planning and development. The Bell wireless laboratories are also led by Bruce.

Prior to taking on his current role, he acted as Director Wireless Technology Strategy. In addition to formulating Bell’s technology path, he actively supported and has continued to lead his team’s involvement in a broad range of research, industry and standards forums including ITU, NGMN, WWRF, 3GPP2/TIA, 3GPP/ETSI, WiMax Forum, OMA, CDG, GSMA, Femto Forum, and others.

Mr. Rodin received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Queen’s University at Kingston in 1980. He is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario and IEEE. Bruce joined Bell Mobility in 1988 and has held numerous positions with-in the strategy, development and engineering teams.
