Event Orders Red Poppy Parade 2016

Georgetown Square, Saturday 23 April, 2016

Mission: A Georgetown and Central Texas Tradition, the Red Poppy Festival is a time to enjoy family and friends, music, food and fun. Cadets will represent Liberty Battalion by marching in ranks as a platoon in the Red Poppy Parade. Liberty Battalion’s Color Guard will also perform. Reporting Time: 9:00 AM (parade starts at 1000) (ending time approximately 1030 AM) Transportation: Cadets will be required to provide transportation to and from the event.

*Location of Event: Meeting location will be on 2 nd & College Street.

- Pick up Cadet at parent discretion. If in doubt, please pick up Cadet at the food court area. (We will end back at 2nd & College Street) see Parade Route Map on Reverse Event Agenda: Cadets (30+) will serve as the platoon, (9) as Color Guard (+2 Standby), and (3) For the Banner. Food/Cost: None will be provided, however Cadets may be interested in purchasing food from vendors on the square. Uniform and Equipment: Uniforms for marchers will be in Navy working uniform (Peanut Butters). E-7’s and above: Combo Covers. Color Guard Uniform will be the same. Special Items: Cadets must be prepared to engage many Georgetown residents professionally, and their family and friends. Project Officers:

- Color Guard Commander: C/ Lieutenant Junior Grade Crownover Forms: This form signed by participating Cadet & parent or guardian.

I, Cadet ______acknowledge that I have been approved for participation in the Red Poppy Parade Platoon or Color Guard and that I have been issued the event orders based upon my verbal commitment. I recognize that it is my responsibility to activate these orders by returning them signed no later than 3 days after receipt to confirm review and consent by a parent or guardian. I understand the instruction and direction provided above for the orderly and proper execution of this mission. In addition, I promise to conduct myself in a manner consistent with the Navy’s core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment and to obey all GISD rules and applicable laws. Finally, I understand that if for any reason it becomes necessary to cancel my commitment, I must do so in writing at least 24 hours in advance and that failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
