Staff Present

Nigel Cook Michael Graham Robert Nixon 2.0 NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION

Review Functions and Operation of the Nadcap CP Task Group as well as the role of this committee in support of the Task Group.

3.0 REVIEW CP-SAT MISSION STATEMENT

4.0 STATUS OF ACTION ITEMS FROM PREVIOUS MEETING

Technical Datasheets (TDS): The Task Group have taken on the action to review the checklist requirement for compliance to TDS parameters. The Task Group have agreed that the requirement for compliance to the TDS is a violation of NOP-002. Item Closed.

Checklist Strategy: The review of s-frm-16 as part of the checklist strategy has been included into the action of the checklist strategy sub-team. The CP-SAT members felt that review of s-frm-16 should be Task Group action and that a separate sub-team should be set up to review it, Bill Ferris and Bill Heeter would be willing to participate in the sub-team.

5.0 NEW BUSINESS

SPECIFICATION LIST : As requested by the Task Group the CP-SAT reviewed the content of the specification list and felt that a full specification list should be attached adjacent to the job tracker but that some guidance should be included for the supplier to provide it in an electronic format that could be readily edited to removed potential ITAR data.

6.0 OPEN SESSION

CP-SAT: Jim Cummings was asked if he would put together and deliver a presentation to the Supplier Support Committee meeting on the function and responsibility of the CP-SAT team. The request was accepted and a presentation will be put together to deliver at the October 2013 SSC meeting.

ASTM E290: A supplier is getting into nickel plate and is having a problems because the plunger tool used in the 3 point bend test is breaking during conducting the test. The specification requires the plunging mandrel to be the same thickness as the test panel being bent. Have people experienced this problem and how can it be solved. AC7108 App B Test Methods: The suppliers are finding it difficult to understand which section in Appendix B should be used for certain tests. Can staff review the sections and add CAG to clearly describe what tests are applicable to a given section of AC7108 App B.

Chemical Processing of Shot Peened Surfaces: A supplier who was also a member of the surface enhancement task group reported that they may be approaching the CPTG regarding chemical processing of parts that have a shot peened surface and how they are handled. The CP-SAT considered this is a flowdown issue.
