To the descendants of ANSON, WILLIAM D., PARLEY P., ORSON and NELSON PRATT, GREETINGS:

Pursuant to a published invitation, a meeting of representative members of the Pratt Family was held at Salt Lake City, Utah, Oct. 15th, 1906, at which an organization was perfected for the purpose of holding a fitting Celebration of the Centennial Anniversary of the birth of the late Apostle Parley P. Pratt. The Celebration will be held at Salt Lake City, Utah, Friday, April 12th, 1907. All member of the families of Apostle Parley P. Pratt and those of his brothers, Orson, Anson, William D. and Nelson are cordially invited to participate. The members of the committees whose names appear above will kindly take notice of their several appointments, and actively engage themselves in the promotion of the celebration and the re-union of the family it is designed to accomplish and perpetuate.

The meeting held last October authorized the purchase of an oil painting of Apostle Parley P. Pratt, which will be exhibited at the re- union. The executive committee has also provided for the purchase of an oil painting of Apostle Orson Pratt to be used on the same occasion. These portraits after the celebration will be permanently placed in the Salt Lake Temple. The cost of the paintings will be $100.00, not including frames and mounting. The committees desire that all members of the family contribute to the portrait fund and the general fund for the re-union, and contingent expenses of the association, and suggest that the contributions be from one quarter to five dollars, as the contributors severally feel able and inclined to donate. Donations of one dime would be appropriate from smaller children who desire to participate.

The committees desire to forward to every living member of the family a formal invitation to the re-union, which will be suitable to keep as a souvenir of the occasion. For this purpose, each son and daughter of the original five brothers, and each head of a family, is requested to forward without unnecessary delay, a list of their children and grandchildren, with names, dates of birth, marriages, and their present post-office addresses.

Correspondence with the association and committees is solicited. Let no one feel any hesitancy in writing for information, or in giving advice. Address all communications, including remittances of money, to Milando Pratt, secretary, 565 South State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah. Contribution may also be made to any member of the Finance Committee.

In conclusion, we extend to all the greetings of the season, with the best wishes for a prosperous New Year.
