Mission:

The staff of Janie Darr Elementary is committed to gaining knowledge through a “World Class Journey”.

Janie Darr Elementary will establish frequent and meaningful, two- way communication with our parents by sending home communication folders once per week and hosting parent teacher conferences twice per year. We recognize parents as the first and most important teacher in each child’s life and will seek to support parents in this role through facilitating information on parenting. Additionally, we will provide opportunities for training in strategies and activities that can be used at home to support academic achievement. We encourage parents to volunteer in a variety of roles and to offer input to procedures, practices, and decisions through the use of surveys and conferences.
