Men S League Quota Format

Men’s League Quota Format

Welcome to the 2010 Season!! The course looks great and we are ready to go! The schedule will consist of two halves 8 weeks each. Play will alternate between front and back on a weekly basis. Please look at the schedule and call the pro-shop if you have any questions. If you cannot make it to league, please call the pro-shop ahead of time.

Like last year, the top five teams in each division will get “paid” from the prize pool. Also as in last year, a team cannot finish in the same place or lower from first half to second half, however they can move up. New this year is how the overall seeds will be determined for the playoffs. In the past, a team that finished first place in the first or second half was guaranteed to play in the “championship” match. Now playoff spots will be determined by overall (cumulative) points earned throughout the entire season. Meaning, the ten teams with the highest combined point total for the year will be in the playoffs. Teams that don’t make the playoffs will play in a two-man scramble. And of course following the round you are all encouraged to attend our famous buffet!

League Scoring Procedure: Bogey- 1 Point Par- 2 Points Birdie- 4 Points Eagle- 8 Points Dbl Eagle- 12 Points (because you cannot earn any points for anything over a bogey, players are allowed to pick up their ball if the fail to make a bogey or better on any hole)

The goal is to reach and exceed your Team quota. The team with the most quota points (or in worst case less negative points) will win the match. Each match won will be 2pts.for the team and a tie will be 1pt. for each team. If your partner is absent and you don’t have a sub you need to make an extra 2 points. 1 pt. will be added for attendance for each player.

Rules of Play: Play by the U.S.G.A. Rules!! Play the ball down White Tees

PLEASE NOTE: THE DRIVING RANGE IS OUT OF BOUNDS-THAT EFFECTS HOLES: 1, 2, AND 3. DIRECT HAZARD IN FRONT OF HOLES #8 AND #17. PLAYERS MAY ALSO USE THE DROP CIRCLE ON #10.

Good luck and have a fun season!!
