THE TENNESSEE EDUCATION LOTTERY CORPORATION IS SEEKING APPLICANTS FOR ITS SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE CAREER TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE TO STUDENTS CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN THE HISTORICAL BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN TENNESSEE. IF YOUR CAREER INTERESTS ARE IN THE AREAS OF LAW, CORPORATE SECURITY, FINANCE, HUMAN RESOURCES, SALES AND MARKETING, ADVERTISING, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, OR CORPORATE AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, THE TENNESSEE LOTTERY WOULD LIKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE CHANCE TO APPLY YOUR CREATIVE ABILITIES TO OUR DYNAMIC WORK ENVIRONMENT. STUDENTS WILL BE PLACED IN INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES IN VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS WITHIN THE LOTTERY AS WELL AS POSITIONS WITH THE LOTTERY’S MAJOR VENDORS. ALL POSITIONS WILL BE AT OUR CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS LOCATION IN NASHVILLE OR THE NASHVILLE OFFICE OF ONE OF THE VENDORS.
Required Qualifications: Current enrollment, in good standing at a HBCU in Tennessee Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others A high level of motivation and enthusiasm Program Benefits: The opportunity to gain invaluable work experience The opportunity to build corporate relationships and develop corporate survival skills The students gain not only lottery specific experience, but also general business experience that can be utilized in any corporate or small business environment. This program is funded by TEL’S major procurement vendors A stipend of $11.00 per hour, campus housing for those students residing outside of the Nashville metropolitan area.
