VOLUNTEER ROLE DESCRIPTION
PURPOSE
Support the Age UK East eBay team to help maximise sale of donated goods through the charities online store.
ROLE OF THE VOLUNTEER
Help to coordinate incoming goods from the Stock Generation Team and Shops which are to be sold on eBay Create a record for each item received on the eBay tracking database and allocate stock numbers. Research the value of the item using eBay and other online tools Store the item in its allocated location List a range of items on eBay following the Age UK East Sussex standard listing template (training will be provided) Help to monitor eBay enquiries and respond as required under the direction of the eBay Manager Following completion of the online auction pack and send item to buyer Help to follow up postal and tracking enquiries Update the eBay tracking sheet and pass any Gift Aid claim to the manager for completion
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES NEEDED
Experience of using eBay and other online retail sites Good communication skills Good research skills Good IT skills Trustworthy and reliable
SCOPE eBay Assistant Created: 2012 Date of Review: 10/2012 Date next review: 09/2013 These are office based roles at our Newhaven office We are looking for volunteers who would be able to provide a minimum of one day per week, either a full day or two half days, though two days would be preferable if the post holder is able to commit this amount of time We will provide a shared desk, computer and phone
